Staffing Information: Staff typically begins work on a “Respite/Relief” status, doing on-call work within locations of their choice. All shifts and days of the week are needed. Pay for this level begins at $11.25 per hour and increases to $12.25 per hour after one year of employment. When Regular Positions with regular scheduled hours open, they are posted at the Main Office. All employees are encouraged to apply. Regular Positions starting wage is $14.15 per hour. After one year of successful employment the wage for Regular Positions increases to $15.00 per hour and after 18 months to $16.00 per hour. At three years the wage increases to $16.92. It takes time to achieve full time status with paid benefits due to the Seniority system in place at our agency.
Requirements: For a regular position it is a requirement to have a high school diploma or equivalent, a CPR certificate (we offer this course for $35.00 to those interested), and for a regular position you will need a public service endorsement on your driver’s license (PSL), which is obtained through the Department of Motor Vehicles. Respite Relief does not require a PSL.
Part Time Regular Positions: Entitled to all the benefits, listed above, that are given to Respite/Relief Workers. In addition, part time employees working 30 hours or more may purchase Medical and Dental Insurance at Tri-County group rates. Part-time employees (30hrs) may participate in our 401k plan with dollar for dollar match up to 3% of employee contribution, when eligibility requirements have been met.
Full Time Regular Positions: Entitled to all the benefits listed above for Respite/Relief and Part Time employees, in addition to Medical Insurance 85% covered by Tri-County, along with Dental Insurance 85% covered by Tri-County.
